A degradation level of 20% therefore means that the zero viscosity has fallen by 20%. \\ As can be read in the description of the [[en:berechnungen:materialabbau|degradation calculation]], the maximum degradation process starts with the first melted material and thus decreases steadily over the remaining screw length. \\ Accordingly, the minimum degradation curve starts where the plastic melts for the last time. The average degree of degradation corresponds to the mass flow-weighted material degradation and thus corresponds to the expected value of the mixed melt. ===== Analysis of the degradation process ===== The average material degradation at the end of the screw is particularly relevant for the analysis.
