The correct selection of the groove cross-section (semicircle, rectangle, any) must be observed for the Maddock shearing part. Depending on the switch setting, the groove width and the representative groove depth can either be edited or are calculated by REX/PSI. The representative groove depth is an auxiliary value for determining the corrected channel depth.

The switch position any decouples the specifications and thus enables the input of groove cross-sections whose geometry cannot be represented by the other two switch positions.
