These include shear element length $L$, the initial flight depth $H^*$ (maximum flight depth) that can be measured on the element and the final flight depth $s$, i.e. the flight depth of the overflow or shear flight. In addition to these values, it is also necessary to enter the flight widths and the screw clearance. The pitch angle is calculated automatically from the values entered. Depending on the size of the pitch angle, a positive or negative pressure gradient can be set.
