- Red curve: The red curve represents the average fibre length over the screw position. The starting value and the fibre properties are specified in the material data.
Analysis of the fibre lenght reduction
In principle, a long fibre length at the end of the screw and therefore also in the product is desirable. A possible downstream fibre shortening (e.g. when injecting an injection moulding machine) is not considered. In the process, it is possible to see which screw zone leads to which shortening of the fibre length. This information can be used for a fibre-friendly screw design.
