If the material reduction has been calculated, the reduction process (button DEGR) can be displayed.
Three curves can be seen:
- Material degradation (min)
- Material degradation (max)
- Material degradation (avg)
As can be read in the description of the degradation calculation, the maximum degradation curve starts with the first melted material and thus decreases steadily over the remaining screw length.
Accordingly, the minimum degradation curve starts where the plastic melts for the last time. The average degree of degradation corresponds to the mass flow-weighted material degradation and thus corresponds to the expected value of the mixed melt.
