File structure
The new file structure in REX/PSI Next Generation offers an efficient way to store all relevant information and results of a process in a single file. This structure optimizes both the handling and clarity of complex simulation data and ensures that all process details and results are centrally and systematically stored.
Categorized Data Storage
The process data within the file are clearly structured and organized into categorized subsections, allowing for quick navigation and easy access to specific information. The main categories include:
- Screw and Cylinder: All geometry and operating parameter information for these components are stored in dedicated sections.
- Heater Band Temperatures: The temperature profiles along the heater bands are stored in a separate category, ensuring a clear separation between different temperature zones.
- Internal Temperature Control: Data related to internal temperature control, such as the cooling or heating of components, are also organized in their own section within the file.
Additional Process Information
In addition to physical and geometrical information, the file contains all other process-relevant data, including:
- Process Parameters: All parameters that govern the operation of the simulation process are documented here.
- Calculation Settings: The settings that influence the numerical calculation of the process are also stored in the same file.
- Material Properties: Information about the materials used, including their physical and chemical properties, is stored in a dedicated section.
- Data Sheets: All collected data from the simulations, which serve as the basis for analysis and evaluation, are saved here.
- Variations: If multiple variants of a process are simulated, the different configurations are listed in this section.
- REX3D Settings: The specific settings for three-dimensional representations and simulations are also stored within this file.
Integrated Results Storage
One of the key improvements of the new file structure is the integration of simulation results directly within the process file. After a process has been simulated, the corresponding results are automatically stored in the same file. This eliminates the need for managing separate result files, greatly simplifying the organization and traceability of the data.
