Loading a process
In REX/PSI Next Generation, it is possible to conveniently load projects and processes that have already been defined. This function is particularly helpful if existing simulation processes are to be further processed or analysed. REX and PSI contain a sample project with the name Project, in which several sample processes are stored. The following section describes the various methods for loading an existing process from a project.
Loading a process via the menu
To load a process from an existing project, proceed as follows:
- Navigate to Project in the main menu and select the menu item Load process.
- A dialogue window opens showing the project folder. In this dialogue, you can select the desired process from the corresponding project folder.
This method allows you to select specific processes from a project and open them for editing.
Loading a process via the project explorer
Another way to load an already defined process is via the project explorer. All processes from the current process directory are listed in the centre section and can be opened by double-clicking on them.
Directory icons highlighted in green indicate that there are other processes in this directory.
Example project
If you have not yet defined your own projects or processes, you can use the predefined sample project. In this sample project, you will find several processes that will make it easier for you to get started using REX/PSI Next Generation.
You can find these
- for REX under C:\Users\Public\Documents\KTP\REX\REX_NG_Examples
- for PSI under C:\Users\Public\Documents\KTP\PSI\PSI_NG_Examples
